Board Engagement and Development

“You have to go wholeheartedly into anything in order to achieve anything worth having.”

                                                                                                  -- Frank Lloyd Wright

At Edwards + Strunk we believe successful organizations have strong and engaged Boards. Ensuring your organization has the “right people” (for fundraising, friendraising, and advocacy in the community you serve) will allow it to meet its strategic goals. We believe the fiduciary responsibility of every nonprofit Board falls into two major activities:

  • Ensuring that the administrative leadership runs the day-to-day operations of the organization in a legal, ethical, and efficient manner in fulfillment of its mission and in respect of the public trust.
  • Ensuring that the administrative leadership has the resources required to so act.

Proper development and engagement makes the Board’s role clearer and each board member’s voice stronger, leading to true ownership and a more effective organization.
